Bespoke commissions
Do you have a family occasion or work event on the horizon, or a group with whom you want to engage? Why not talk to me about working together to create a bespoke book sculpture.
Perhaps you have a book or place that is meaningful to you. I fold, weave or quilt it into a unique paper sculpture. I can even incorporate a favourite phrase or quotation into the design.
If you would like to be more involved, I can also offer the opportunity for you (and your group) to make with me. It is a great way to capture memories or responses to a prompt, and to involve a group of people in a simple act of collective making. You then have the sculpture as a permanent record of the occasion. I have successfully used this approach to create pieces for Newcastle University and Sunderland Libraries, and with visitors to the Festival of Thrift and the Museum of Making in Derby.
